Student engagement skyrockets with hands-on, creative projects. Using a variety of components, such as cardboard, magna-tiles, or simple planks, students collaborate and innovate to meet challenges. They go though the engineering design process to improve their creations and test them against their peers'. Engineering challenges foster risk-taking and innovative thinking while improving problem-solving ability. Students accept a challenge, such as to build a certain type of structure, trap, maze or useful device, using the materials supplied. Students work together to design, create, test and improve their structures. By supporting this project, you help create the thinkers we need in the workforce of the future.
