The Rekenrek set and ten frame boards will allow my students the opportunity to understanding number sense. Students can manipulate the beads compose or decompose numbers up to 20. The ten frame boards will be used in groups during centers. Students can write down their number sentences as they use the ten frame to work on number sense skills. The magnet tiles will support my students' creativity in class by allowing them become builders/engineers. Students will use these magnet tiles to create certain objects as their extended learning activity in class. They will record down the steps (by drawing or writing) afterward to explain their thinking process and the purpose of their project.
