Our students will begin the year with remote learning. My students have shown up to school with very little supplies most years. I love to use materials that my students have not been, and possibly will not be, exposed to. However, we are facing new times. SLE have not been in school since March. When we left school, we didn't know that we wouldn't be going back for this long. Students were not concerned with collecting supplies at the time. As I worked with students online in the Spring, it was a struggle just for some of them to find paper to draw on. Our projects in the Spring were fun, creative projects with found objects, but I want to do better. As we begin a new school year, I want to equip my students with the tools to be able to accomplish real learning. I feel that supplying my students with these tools will allow so many more to be engaged in sustainable, active learning.
