Building the love of reading is so important. I would love to incorporate literature studies into my daily reading routine to capture, engage, and grow the love of reading through all of my students. I will not only use these class sets for instruction time, but will also use them to fill my classroom library, where the majority of my students love to visit, thumb through books, and get lost in an adventure. Unfortunately, our reading textbooks are extremely outdated and are unable to meet the needs of all of my students. I would love to have them dive into chapter books and learn about various authors along the way. Reading is vital, and getting this project funded will help to create master readers who are completely engaged in reading instruction, and lifelong learners.
