45% of my students in Algebra 2 Trig are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Every year we check out school owned graphing calculators for the year to low income students in advanced math. Yet the demand always exceeds the supply. Your help will give access to higher math to ten more students this year, and every year after that. Students with graphing calculators in advanced mathematics don't get slowed in the tedium of basic algebra, but can use their calculator as a ladder to access and explore higher order mathematical problems more quickly. Students are able to complete more advanced homework problems, learn quick tech tips to use on standardized math tests like the ACT, and experience a level playing field with their peers in class.
