Students in reading intervention class, are students who are reluctant and struggling readers. Within this reading program, students will be working through various stations focused on small group instruction and independent reading. Reluctant readers need to develop a love of reading and love of learning. With that in mind, flexible seating will allow students to feel motivated, engaged, and excited about reading. Studies show that students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to change their location and positions as needed. Students who are in an environment they feel comfortable in are more likely to succeed.
