Students learn best when they can meet one on one with their teachers everyday. Literacy centers allow this to happen! Literacy games like the Grammer and Writing folder game will allow my students to learn & be working with a small group while waiting to get their one on one time with me. Creating meaningful centers that last long will be able to happen with allowing me to laminate with my lamination machine pages we reuse. A binding machine will help me bind student work so they can take their creations home in the form of a homemade book! Nonfiction reading is essential to 4th grade. Students need to be able to both read & write nonfiction work. In my centers I would allow for a table to be designated to my Eyewitness nonfiction readers as reading materials that would help my students learn to love other genres of literature.
