Fifth grade 21st century learners need to not only be masters of academic content, but also masters at problem solving, collaborating and fluent users of technology. My 5th graders are absolutely wonderful! My classroom is comprised of 33 ready and willing 5th graders. All students have their own unique and individual needs which prompts the constant differentiation of instruction. Every year, the range of ability within my classroom seems to widen. There are students working far below grade level as well as students who have been identified as special needs. In addition, my classroom has many English Language Learners.
