I am asking for tablets and headphones for my English Language Learners. They have access to two amazing software programs, which when used with fidelity will increase their language acquisition and reading comprehension levels. The programs being used are Imagine Learning and Achieve3000. These programs focus on improving fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In order for students to become proficient in English they need as much exposure in a variety of ways as possible. They have a short amount of time and face many challenges to become successful in school and become productive American citizens. Many of my students do not have technology available to them at home. With these tablets, my students will always have the opportunity to use these programs in my classroom allowing them to feel confident and successful as they grow to their full potential.
