Small group instruction is a vital component for student success in my classroom. I enjoy being able to meet with each of my students for writing conferences and differentiating reading groups to help each student succeed with reading skills. All students deserve the chance to succeed in the classroom. Even though this is just a table, in depth learning takes place with students asking questions and digging deeper into their learning with peer and teacher assistance. The small group setting gives my shy students a chance to speak and ask questions without being nervous. Small group instruction is where I have been able to see the "aha" moments because I am able to target the specific areas where students are struggling.
