This year I have started to implement more flexible seating options in my classroom. My students have thrived with the ability to choose a successful spot to learn. I love watching them take responsibility for themselves! Flexible seating comes with a new set of challenges. One of those challenges is giving students options that will work for them, another is giving them a "Home Base". Adding more seating options and a designated "Home Base" will allow my students more wiggle options as well as providing more structure to our group learning space. This carpeted area will give every student their own space to call their own, and give them a designated learning spot when we are all together. The wiggle stools will give more options for my students who needs to be moving in order to stay focused and learn.
