As a first-year teacher, I have been constantly working to find what works best for my students. These little learners are full of energy and eager to take on new tasks each day. Many of my students find it difficult to stay seated and focus on the task at hand, but I believe with the ball chairs I will be able to see a difference. This will allow them to bounce and be active while remaining seated and on track with their work. My kids are almost constantly in motion, but I want them to be as relaxed as possible when it is time to sit and think. Students perform better when they are comfortable, and I want all of my children to have their greatest chance at success! I have not had a carpet for my students to come and sit for group instruction, but I believe they would benefit from being closer to their focal point. This will also give them time outside of their desks, which is always fun for my kids. They have mentioned a carpet and ball chairs in the past, and it would be great to build the environment they would truly love and thrive in.
