Each morning, I teach a Reading Workshop mini-lesson. After the mini-lesson is completed, my students go off to read independently and then partner read. During this time, I pull strategy groups. The flexible seating option will give my students more of a choice of where and how they want to read their books from their book boxes. As of now, my students either read at their desk or on the carpet. I would like to offer my students more seating options for when they are reading independently or with their reading partner. I hope to offer even more options in the future.
