Our school is a Title One school in a small community in Aiken County. Over 81% of our students receive free/reduced price lunches. In spite of the many economic hardships our students face, they come to school with a desire to learn. Currently, ten percent of our student population consists of English Language Learners who require interventions in language and academics. These ELLs must meet the expectations of our rigorous curriculum while also acquiring English proficiency. As an ESOL teacher, it is my job to meet ALL students' needs so that they ALL have a chance to be successful in and out of the classroom.
