I am trying to provide head phones for my first grade classroom to help my students strengthen their skills while using the computers. The programs that we are using does have sound but when the headphones are not working, it is hard for the students to focus on their work when they are hearing other students work. Having headphones for the students will allow them to progress while working at their own pace. By having this resource in the class students will become proficient in skills such as, retelling, sequencing, and reading comprehension.
