I love to let them create and make. When conducting a pipe cleaner and Q-tip activity I discovered so many of my kids never have an opportunity to play at home, there are too many computer games and enticing digital tools. They need to improve their manual dexterity through activities like cutting paper, manipulations and playing. I realized that these 'activities' cost money that many do not have. I want to bring that 'play' back into the classroom every chance I can. I try to create hands on activities with every lesson. We have made candy bridges to clay fossils. These fun and active classes keep the kids engaged.
