My students benefit highly from visual supports and we have a need in our classroom to laminate everything from math reference guides (to be taped onto each of our student's desktops) to specific Boardmaker/Symbol Stix picture icons and so many other visual learning materials. We also have a need to attach and reattach printed (laminated) picture icons/words/numbers, etc. to subsequently place in blank sections on laminated worksheets so as not to have to keep reprinting paper worksheets and at the same time, to also be able to customize laminated worksheets for individual student needs. A laminating machine is a vital tool of which most special day classrooms such as ours can not do without! Needless to say, a laminator would be used regularly in our classroom. I would also train my paraprofessionals to use the laminator for many various classroom projects which would free up my time for direct instruction and other planning purposes.
