Welcome! Luna Elementary is a public Montessori school. This year we transitioned 1st and 2nd grade traditional education to Montessori Education. My classroom is currently only 1st and 2nd graders, but next year I will have all three grade levels. In Montessori, the environment is designed to meet the needs of all learners through a child-centered approach. As a Montessori teacher, I guide rather than instruct, linking each student with presentations and activities at their current instructional level. The materials that I am requesting will promote experiential learning to lead to a deeper understanding through concepts of increasing complexity. These materials will allow the students to use real objects to translate abstract ideas into concrete form. These materials are sure to compliment our classrooms responsible and interactive learning!
