This opportunity will provide them exposure to technological opportunities they may not have until high school or later. With these student-built computers, my students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to build their own computer and create programs through coding. With access to STEAM products, they are able to develop skills that increase their chances of achieving both academic and personal success!! It is important that they are able to have experiences that foster critical thinking and creativity through technology in order to compete at the same level as their peers in environments across the district and state. Through this project my students will learn the fundamentals of computer science and how computers work from the inside-out. They will also experience coding while actually creating their own software and gaming programs. The opportunities are endless with knowledge and skills they will gain using these materials!!
