Students will learn about circuitry in a hands on way. They are able to put together in series and parallel circuit boards which activate the motor. Bells chimes, bulbs light up, and fans whir if mission is accomplished. Students are able to self monitor and correct their boards as needed to investigate how a circuit is completed. Students can start off simply by using the beginner ideas in the book and graduate to more complex boards or ones that they have created themselves. This is a great tool that I can see all of my students, girls and boys, getting excited about. Students are able to complete alone or in pairs. Teamwork is a great byproduct from this learning tool. In conclusion, inquiry learning is the best kind of learning for students. It is investigative and student driven. You can almost see the gears turning. The Snap Circuit Extreme learning kit is an awesome tool that kids will love to use and learn from for years to come.
