Our students start investigating robotics in 5th grade and are ready to go further into robotics projects, and also to mentor the lower grades. This classroom is anxious to get more into programming with Lego Mindstorms EV3, which they started last year, to learn more about gathering data, and about building and programming projects. Our school hopes to put together a team next year to compete in the Sonoma County annual Robotics Challenge next May. Our small rural school relies on grants such as these and other community organizations to provide STEM, art, (STEAM), music, library, garden and field trips.
