I travel to 5 different schools serving 45 English Language Learners (ESL). I meet with them at least twice each week in small groups of 3 to 6 students. When teaching English to ESL students in the areas of science, math, literacy and social studies, having related visuals at my fingertips to clarify meaning and advance comprehension will help build my students' skills in all of these areas. The requested tablet is also able to translate key concepts to make immediate connections as needed. Students will also be able to record various activities and readings and later watch themselves to do self-evaluations and offer praise and constructive criticism to others while using higher order thinking and cooperative learning skills. It will also bring updated technology into their lives, furthering their knowledge of current advancements.
