My project will be rolled out in 2-3 phases for the sole reason that I am new to DonorsChoose and need to build the necessary points to create a special project through DonorsChoose. The Ambient Weatherground mounted weather stations I am hoping to acquire are not available through the DonorsChoose list of vendors, and, while there are weather stations available through the list I feel they are not compatible with the my project. I am looking for reasonably priced solar powered stations that will give my students the opportunity to track and record weather data, make predictions, share their observations with the district radio station, and to connect with other classrooms across the country. Eventually, the students will be creating their own weather stations through the weather underground (wunderground) where they will be able to view a myriad of local and national home weather stations make observations and comparisons and reflections on their learning. In the first phase of my project I am looking to acquire: AbergBest 21 Mega Pixals 2.7" LCD Rechargeable HD Digital Cameras and SanDisk Ultra 16GB SDHC Class 10/UHS-1 Flash Memory Cards. The cameras will be used to record and share our learning activities. We are currently in the midst of collecting Winter Severity Index data for the State of NH Fish and Game Department. This data is used to help determine the health of the state's deer and turkeys.
