The magazines that I am requesting will enable my students to take virtual field trips and focus on higher order thinking skills when reading print and online text. The students will enjoy using the headphones as they listen and read along in the magazines. The students enjoy reading and just need an extra push and some exciting stories and articles to challenge them and keep them focused. I would LOVE to provide magazines for my students that will allow them to read individually or work in groups, to engage with articles and share their ideas as they LIVE and LEARN !! The colorful pictures and illustrations in the magazines will motivate the students to visualize and will also help improve their comprehension skills. Vocabulary skills will also be enhanced and allow for growth with Informational Text, Fiction, Drama, and Poetry.
