Using a laptop would be a daily activity for my ESL students. Students who are newcomers can use it to work on programs such as Rosetta Stone to learn the English language. My students would also be able to use it to work on educational websites and literacy-based sites as well. I would be able to display and share with my students visuals, videos, charts, and diagrams that have to do with academic vocabulary, science, and social studies. Donating to this project will help my students to communicate better and it will help them with their socialization. My students already show great curiosity and have a great willingness to learn their new language. A MacBook Air laptop would be convenient as well because it is a portable device. I travel to all different classrooms to see my students. My school does not have any extra classrooms. The smart boards that are in use in the classrooms are used by the classroom teacher and I don't get to have access to it to show my students things, yet alone have them actually go on to a computer. By having a laptop, students will be able to increase their vocabulary and they will be able to increase their communication skills. They will be able to easily see a screen close to them when I'm referencing a particular topic or subject. It will help them to learn as well as enjoy English.
