A diverse and bilingual library goes hand in hand with a diverse population of students. The materials we humbly seek are to promote the growth of our students. We want them to feel free to look for books and to know they have many options in terms of what they want to read. We always tell our students to put themselves in the book. To become a character and immerse themselves into a world entirely different than their own, or one that's almost identical. Making connections and using literacy skills with books they read for themselves is our primary objective. We aim for them to become self-starters, and self-sufficient, and to be in charge of their own learning in English & Spanish.

About my class
