I have chosen a number of games and activities that will help students interact while reinforcing what they are learning in class. The items I have chosen, including the POP for Word Families Game, the Math War Addition and Subtraction Game Cards, the Word Shark: Short Vowels Game, Math Equivalency Puzzles, and a variety of other games and puzzles, are specifically designed to increase understanding of math and literacy concepts taught at the second grade level. I am excited to be able to offer students hands-on learning activities that will be engaging and fun while teaching them about math and literacy. This project is designed to bring to our classroom items that are well outside of our budget but will last for a long time and be enjoyed by students for years to come.
