My students love to learn through color, touch, and textures! The items I have asked for will only increase their curiosity and excitement for learning! The light table will reinforce our number and letter recognition skills. These are basic skills for entering Kindergarten. The more diverse and fun ways to practice, the more engaged my students will be. The water and sand table will improve fine motor skills, along with hand/eye coordination, and sensory experiences they might otherwise not encounter in their daily lives. This item will also be used for building projects and basic measurement discussions. The listening center will be an asset to our language arts projects. Auditory learning is a great way to improve comprehension and fluency. It will help encourage a love of books and an enthusiasm for reading!
