My students have voiced a concern about how stressed they feel when they are during the school day. Our school experiences an extended day, so students are here from 8:15 am until 4:30 pm. They brainstormed ideas on what we could do to assist the 4th grade to help with this problem. My class decided that we should purchase stress balls for the grade level. By providing the grade level with stress balls, students should feel less stress throughout the day and be able to focus on the important material that they need to learn! My students have decided to survey the grade level to determine how many students feel stressed, develop a graph to share with administration, research the effectiveness of stress toys, and use this information to support the need for stress balls. If we are awarded the money for the stress balls, my students will then come up with a presentation to share the need for stress balls, as well as educate students on the proper way to use them in the classroom. We would love support for this amazing project!
