The fourth graders have built 2 tiny houses from the ground up. Our first house was a simple 4'x8' temporary shelter. It housed a couple for three months until a larger, better home could be attained. Our current tiny house is 8'x16'. Other than the size, it has also been improved with vinyl siding, a window, insulation, and drywall. "It may be a tiny house, but this is bigger than all of us," said a fourth grade student on our construction crew. We're trying to give someone a home, a real home. This home needs a toilet to truly let the veteran know that he's home.
