Students in this small rural high school understand the value of having a graphing calculator to analyze polynomials, do statistical analysis and so much more. So much so, in 2015 they entered a national contest to try and win a classroom set. Out of thousands who submitted their own scripted student video of how they would use graphing calculators they came in 2nd place which they did then win 1 calculator. The school district was so impressed by their video they did purchase some additional calculators and we are thankful. Since the contest, students have used the class calculators in math modeling, statistical analysis, analyzing polynomials and now they want to CODE! However, we need 4 more calculators to have a full classroom set so that everyone will have their own to use as we embark upon Programming with TI-Basic. We are also asking for a docking charging station for the calculators as we use them daily and need to be charged regularly. Please consider helping my students embark on the the next big adventure of programming.
