My project allows all students in my classroom room to have access to grade level literature. I will conduct novel studies with these books. Students will focus on a variety of reading comprehension skills that are standards based. Students will use the books daily to read independently and participate in classroom discussions. Through this novel study, there will be activities that are connected to math, science, and engineering. Growth mindset will also be a focus of one of the novels being purchased. I believe my students will find a love for literature, as well as develop critical thinking through the STEM activities.
