Active seating allows for students to engage their cores, their minds, and allows for their natural movements to happen. I have witnessed integrating these tools in the classroom to improve student focus and behavior. Allowing students to choose the tools that help them will greatly help our diverse classroom. Helping students in meeting their movement and sensory needs allows them to more actively engage in the learning process. During class time, allowing students to choose seating options and tools that meet their needs will allow them the ability to learn necessary skills to meet their individual goals. These products selected will help my students have a choice in seating, as well as give them access to tools that allow for movement. These are tools we currently do not have access to in our classroom. The stability ball seating will allow for students to move while they work, and help some of them to build much needed core strength. The wobble stools add for a different sensory movement, and can be utilized at our standing desks. All other fidgets give our students options for getting out movement needs, meeting sensory needs, or calming anxiety while working. I have seen how integral these tools can be helping students with exceptionalities in a learning environment, and I would love to give my students the opportunity to access them!
