Each of the novels in my "wish list" will serve as a novel study throughout the year. Each text lends itself to different ELA standards and enhances our understanding of skills. We will also use these novels to have in depth conversations and extension projects along the way. It is essential that every student is able to have their own text in front of them during a novel study. It allows them to make the text their own by adding post-it notes for summarization and note taking along the way. It also helps with fluency and building vocabulary. It is important that my students are all able to see the words in front of them as we read. Thanks in advance for helping my students succeed!
