My students have a range of differences including but not limited to autism, sensory dysfunction, attention deficit, and visual impairments. Using a lightbox activities will engage their visual systems while also tapping into their tactile system. It is hands on and fun, which will increase their ability to focus. The materials chosen will also allow for my students who are unable to stand to engage with while seated on the floor. I can use the materials to work on shapes, colors, counting, letters, words, sorting and patterning along with letting students express their own creativity!
