If I am able to have copies of these selected books, such as Pablo and Cat, Wish, and Dragons and Marshmallows in my classroom, students can have them at their fingertips at all times. The library has copies, but 3-6 graders are all trying to earn the same rewards, so having a class set will make it more accessible and give my class a better chance at participating in the program. This year, 90% of my homeroom students were able to participate in the competition because I had the books available in my classroom. Unfortunately, the books change every year, so I am need of the new titles.
