I am currently a data coach at an elementary school in high-poverty neighborhood on the west side of Chicago. I work with teachers to help them analyze data and make appropriate teaching decisions. I also work with small groups of children who are struggling academically to help them catch up. As part of our school's leadership team, I am involved in several committees that focus on school improvement revolving around children's needs. Our neighborhood has one of the lowest ratings in the city for accessibility to nutritious food, and many children do not visit safe, local parks where they can exercise and play. We have teamed up with a local food depository that provides bags of healthy food to families, and we have implemented some educational opportunities about making healthy choices. Now it's time to focus on physical development! We need recess! Thank you for your support and interest in visiting my page!
