In kindergarten, we easily spend 75% of the day at our carpet. It is where we gather every morning, we do our calendar, we explore math workplaces, and do community circles. Our current carpet is falling apart! The strings coming off of the sides are distracting to students and my seat spots are too little for a student to comfortably sit. A new carpet would create an amazing learning space, where students can thrive! Students take ownership over their "carpet spot", it also helps with classroom management as well! A new carpet would help to create a sense of community, love for learning and engagement in my class.
