The supplies I'm requesting will benefit my students in ways that cannot even be fathomed until you see it in action. Students that struggle often struggle because they're unfocused, because their bodies need to move in order for their minds to move; traditional classroom seating does not allow this to happen easily. On the flip side, students that excel in school are better able to tap into their creative side when they're offered choice of seating and the ability to be active while creating. By using flexible seating in my classroom, my students will have the chance to realize that they can focus and they can create when given the chance to be active. Not all students learn strictly by sitting still and listening to a teacher; wobble chairs, lap desks, and balance ball seating can truly transform a student's outlook on school, on themselves, and on their educational future.
