These resources will help make learning engaging and meaningful for my students. The items that I chose for this project will help make math easier and more exciting to learn. As a teacher, these items allow me to create a hands-on learning experience for all students!
I want to make sure that my students have the best learning experience possible, and these resources will help me to make that happen! I have seen the benefits of using different math manipulative like fraction tiles, counters, dice, etc.. I love using dry erase pockets to get my students engaged and excited about a lesson. With the dry erase pockets, students are able to write down an answer and show me their response quickly and easily. I love using this strategy because students love it and it helps me know if they are getting the concept I am teaching. Fraction tiles are another resource that I would love to provide for my students. Learning fractions can be tricky, and having fraction tiles allows students to have a visual and hands-on representation of an otherwise hard concept. One resource that I am excited to have are the base ten blocks. Base 10 blocks create a visual and hands-on experience and I have used them to teach counting, division, multiplication, and more. I think it is important to capture the attention of all my students and these resources will be the tools I need in order to do that.
