We are fostering the development of 21st Century Learners and embedding technology into the learning cycle is essential for preparing students for our technology-dependent society. An iPad is a tool that can enable students to take learning beyond the 4 walls of our classroom. Students can utilize the device to: gather data, make photo diaries, use apps to simulate abstract concepts, collaborate with peers, and to express themselves creatively through film and music. In addition to all of the academic uses and benefits, iPads are engaging and fun for students to use. Using an iPad in the classroom can alter students' perception of how technology is not only for entertainment, yet a sidekick for education.
