As the year draws to an end, I am reflecting on where my classroom, my students, and my teaching style needs to be improved. I would love the opportunity to create a meeting space in our classroom that is organized, relaxed, and full of manipulatives that would allow every student to be successful. Students learn in different styles and it is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to the classroom. That is why I find it so important to have a variety of tools in my classroom that will guide my students to academic success in a structured way. Having these items in our classroom will help create those life long learners and especially for the years to come. Your donation will help our classroom in the following ways: -A classroom carpet and an easel to help create an organized meeting space to discuss different topics. -Book bins will categorize our classroom library by AR levels so it is easier for students to find. -A classroom mailbox is a great way to keep homework and personal items turned in neatly. -Whisper phones allow students to hear the sounds of the words they are forming during silent reading time. -Headphones for our classroom computers and spares for those students who cannot afford one. -Wobble seats, fidgets, and footrests for students who struggle to focus on their classwork. -Rekenreks for doing math problems and study boards to create separation during testing. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my project and I hope that it inspires you to take a hand, open a mind, and touch a heart just like I do every day when I walk into my classroom!
