Throughout the morning I call groups of students to work on necessary reading skills at a common reading table. My students currently carry their own chairs, many of which are broken, to our reading table. Having chairs at our reading table will enable my students to move from their desk to our group table without the noise, disruption, and hassle of taking their own bulky chairs with them. New, brightly colored, and comfortable chairs will brighten our room, encourage children to engage with their classmates and books, and allow my students to gain valuable learning time. We are all excited for the prospect of new, clean, and safe seating!
