I'm already excited at the idea of all the possibilities I will find for using the light table in my classroom. Using pattern blocks to make shapes and designs, as well as being able to discuss patterns during our math lessons, building structures with crystal bricks to possibly match structures that they have seen in real life, investigating x-rays during our studies on community helpers (doctors and vets), creating sensory bins that explore both texture and light, The possibilities are endless! By donating to my project, you will be helping provide my students with one more tool to explore during center times. The soft glow of the light table, will attract students to this center and keep their attention for extended periods of time. As well, the ability to change the materials often will keep the students interest. They will be excited to see what activity will come next.
