Since my students have a four hour schedule, my school does not offer a lunch period. Most of my students come to school from 8-12 or 12-4. This means that they may not eat lunch or that they eat it at an odd time, which makes snack time very important for the kids at my school. My students could really use healthy, calorie heavy snacks that can pack energy so that they can focus in school and accomplish all that they do. While students are told to bring a snack everyday, there are days where some forget. There are also days where some of my kids just don't have food at home to bring. I would really appreciate any help you can give in donating items or money to our food pantry. I solidly believe that making sure kids have food is the first step in helping them succeed.
