So many students need constant movement while they work. The wobble chairs will allow them to move, and stay at their spots, making them more productive and focused. I converted my classroom to flexible seating with the hope to improve students' focus and allow them to choose how they learn best. I have a lot of students who involuntarily fidget or move while they work, and regular chairs don't allow them to do that; wobble chairs allow them to move around while they learn. A 2015 study by researchers at the University of California, Davis MIND Institute — an international research center that studies neurodevelopmental disorders — found that allowing fidgeting for children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder may actually help them think.
