My students need to flex their physical muscles to better flex their thinking muscles! By implementing flexible seating in my classroom, my students will exercise freedom in choosing their workspace. Bodies on motion = Minds in motion. Flexible seating will allow my students to choose a workspace based on their individual physical needs...think standing desks, wiggle cushions, stability balls, yoga mats, scoop rockers, and more! When students can choose to "wiggle while they work," they are more likely to be focused, engaged, and on task during independent work times. With flexible seating choices, creativity and collaboration during group work increase too!
