The class set of the book Wonder will be used in many different ways. First, students will be assigned groups. They will read an article about the movie Wonder to motivate them and introduce them to the main character. The next step is they will participate in Socratic Seminars. Socratic Seminars are a wonderful way to see how the book is pushing the students out of their comfort zone and get them to truly think beyond the words and surface of the book. Finally, students will write their own narratives, zooming in to a time when maybe they felt alone or different. Wonder is such an amazing book and I cannot wait to get started.
