Why flexible seating? I see flexible seating as critical to enhancing learning across all ages. Plus, flexible seating makes learning more enjoyable. We are requesting floor seats, beanbags seats, wobble chairs and reading pillows. Having children choose their seat and where they sit can make a difference in students' learning by showing improvements in physical health, comfort and sensory input. Also, a sense of community within the classroom, collaboration and communication between children and commitment to learning are also fostered while students participate in flexible seating while learning. I have chosen four different types of seating options: flex-space comfy floor seats, wobble chairs, a reading pillow and Flex-Space beanbag seats to give the children more options to sit and learn.
