It is not always easy to bring in creation art into an English (mostly writing) class. However, with "Artsy Gatsby and The 1920s," my students will not only utilize their knowledge to interpret their findings by creating an art form but will be able to fully realize the transition period of the 1920s artistic scene. Canvas, paints, spray paint, and washi tape will open up the 1920s in a whole new way by allowing students to discover how lush the 1920s are perceived to be. Stepping out of the book and into the world of art bridges the gaps creating comprehension and understanding.

About my class
